Twilight Musing
By lupus tenebrae
Hear my musing, how amusing,
hear my
musing, how amusing,
witness dawn recede to twilight,
witness
dawn recede to twilight.
Hear my witness recede to musing.
Twilight
dawn, how amusing.
Bestow the trophy with false glimmer,
bestow the trophy with false glimmer,
stolen shimmer from gold and
silver,
stolen shimmer from gold and silver.
Silver trophy with
stolen glimmer,
bestow the false gold shimmer.
Bequeath
the book with yellowed paper,
bequeath the book with yellowed paper,
midnight caper then fades away,
midnight caper then fades away.
Then fades away, midnight paper,
book bequeath the yellowed caper.
Book with false midnight shimmer,
fades away from silver glimmer,
bestow the trophy, and twilight caper,
Bequeath the witness to my
paper.
Then hear stolen yellowed musing,
recede with gold dawn,
how amusing.

What would be some famous examples of this form I'm wondering? Except for this one of course. It does indeed strike a familiar chord of sinister nursery rhymes for some reason (at least to my recollection) .Cheers Wolfie!

Paradelle for Susan by Billy Collins is your safest bet, he invented the form.
