A Series of Blue
By lupus tenebrae
Azure dragonfly
partaking of wild lace
all afternoon long,
Crickets go airborne,
melding with
leaves and arrows,
luminescent blue,
Pointing to the sky,
to rainbows missing a stripe,
fallen to the Earth
In
her arms again,
with eyes of teal conviction
staring right through
me,
her long gone hazel,
gave only aquamarine
in consolation.,
when midnight,
in spectrums of navy ships,
is romanticized.

Fitting title. I just love how you transformed all those common day things into images so magical, so vivid. This was wonderful, brava!

I reread the first stanza a few times. I couldn't get into it. I almost gave up. I forced myself to continue, and I'm glad I did. All together, this makes up something beautifully simple.

Yeah, haiku is a little hard to get into at first, I'm glad you gave it a chance, thank you.
