Postcard from my Dreams

By lupus tenebrae

Let’s watch the sky erupt aflame,
and hope the night shall stay the same,
cream soda, and bonfire wood,
pervade the air as moments should.
Crackling colors ascend, whistling right by,
over in a single glance, now…let’s watch the sky.

Let’s sleep again to dream this haze,
and drift back to the better days,
take another postcard picture,
wish you were here, amidst nature.
Smoky Mountain autumn, a movie within,
dim the lights and set the alarm…let’s sleep again.

4th of July pretty soom Wolfie, and this was great. For Karen's info and others, there are only a few states left where you can legally buy the good stuff, cheers! I can recall being on a picnic blanket with the family, while the entire sky erupted just overhead! Totally organized now but still a thrill, if from a distance (govt. safety reasons). Used to knock the hot ashes outta our hair sometimes!
