"For Whom the Bell Cracks...(Fragments of...)"
(Fragment One: Cinderella Men)
We walk these lands
Leaving behind our footprints
Pieces of the parts we never see
Fragments of, and nights behind
Cold steps between, the hollow sun dead roads
These nights we sink. How the skin of dusk pales
The stars we drink, with matchstick moons
From our mouths our veils
Watching while Lucifer lights the foul moments
Candles in dust
Calls us Judas, calls us Caliban
Too insane to be a man.
As testament to our place below Hell
The last of the circles where we fell
(This, the last temptation of our rage
All the souls we cage). Prostitutes in crumbs
We wander the wicked shores
Rats before the wooden sea
To dry upon the mouth of whores
These lands, unwalked
As wings cut from the flesh
Our rivers and roads bleed
We are fleas to the skeleton’s dress
And walking backwards, the sun falls
Our shadow’s fall
A night falls (as moons & seasons swallowed)
down. Dirt from the ragged gods
Our desire as clowns
And drowning! - metal bells ring, low clouds
Over the highway deserts and rusted cars
The cathedral darkness, our corrupted scars.
We walk, we crawl, we shed our eyes
So brightly pale, blinded in dark mirrors;
Mad memories: fragmenting and fragmenting
The grey simulacra
Of emotions; what makes us Cinderella men
Dreams without ships, oceans lost
We watch as reality splits, spills over the world's end
Softly numinous this splintered dream feathers
As (fracturing flowers) thin whispers in dust
Shadows beneath our oceans
Castles behind...
Can we not see the bones of our futures
who see's?) Sorrow's ghost. Shadow's bound/under,
Drowned,
Drowning, as down a shadow's crest by way of misfit rhythms
Off beat
Tired- what dreams? Off damned. Drums, the beating cold
Sands and trumpets screaming
& Hell’s Angels waiting off the road.
Of the pawn's heart, fragments again... fractures in waves, waxing...
Waned. Bright stars under still moons
Such shadows, diffused and damned. As gods play the fools
of will? As free will
The tongue's desire, inside the bars where she dances
Our left hand. Pleasure for dollar bills
Something of which we could never understand
A dog's illness, in illusion. Sick! Sacred abortion of sin, as insanity!
Sins as thick as thievery and thin as temptation. Divine,
Delirious!
For blasphemous divinity for whom the bell cracks...
The tempest of our black souls
To suffer these roads in cages beneath scarred suns
Sacrificed, as bullets to the eye
Bleeding naked in night
Modest men of wealth and discovery
We walk into the rains disloyal to our greed.
(Fragment Two: Shattered Wishes)
We walk these lands
Wishes behind our footprints
Pieces of the parts we never see
Fragments of reflected fractured
fragments reflect tragedies
off of the crimson cut
crescent moon
bleeding births of righteousness and faith
reflecting reflections off of fragments of
oxidized fears barbed
by shards of plastic
smiles
pieces of the unseen picture
smear calligraphy fissured tears
upon the hardened magma canvas
slicing open unhealed scars
worn on the inside of a
broken heart
ATTACK
the battlefield in the sky
lies shattered and scattered
like the parts of a negative picture
snipped off at the ends
which are the beginnings...
of...
unwalked lands... unheard whispers...
disabled hands... disabled sisters...
screaming....
so-called dreaming....
more like nightmares revealed in the light
taunting temptation bringing it down out of flight
in the fragmented parts of the
backs of our minds....
we find ourselves dead and
left behind....
pushing forward... falling back...
pulling down... dropping up...
into the unknown regions of worlds and souls
known...
but unfelt...
neglected...
caught up in the carnal desires of Beryl Sin
shining...crying...replying...DIE...ing
dying to be wanted
left alone in this beginning stage
of insanity which has now become
a playground for the
unimaginable
(Fragment Three: Souls Flight)
We walk these lands
Breaths behind our footprints
Pieces of the parts we never see
pulling apart the clouds from dreams
wisping away emotions and recycling them
back to the Earth only to watch
them be buried in the den of
darkness denying destination
eroding like amethyst smiles and forest blue laughs
choking on corroded catastrophies
hung in our minds like trophies
never to be seen
kept for greed
just like the thoughts that form that
are never born from the lips
to taste the sound of wind
swirling withinadvertent
conversations between
the Trinity of
Me,Myself,and I
unable to escape the temptation
tempting us like Satan tempted
Eve in the Garden of the Tempest
Sunrise setting life on the horizon
of death nipping at the heels
of uncertainty
molting our wings
screaming in
subliminal
silence
(Fragment Four: Unwalked Lands)
We walk these lands
Leaving behind our footprints
Pieces of the parts we never see
Bells, like shattered fragments
Our chanterelle eyes, bleed
Manic depressives in need
We walk in the Cinderella shoes
Across our cracked and fractured lands
Ghosted and shattered fools
Leaving behind the poisoned dust
Soldiers of dogs, our gods of rust
Down,
Drowning,
Down...
The bell is cracked
Our soul in fragments
Time spliced; we are diagrams & equations
Delicate shapes, shimmering
Like disoriented insects
Scribbled from some discordant symphony
In the dim gaslight, again
Waiting for the train, down deserted streets
Above the undulating rooftops bend
Broken under a tarred rain
In eldritch moments;
Feels like forever in the red-light zone
Acrobats across the hi-wires
Chaotic, graceless; pale butterflies
The sky above smeared in sunset blood
As we drown, and walk these roads
These highways of strange countries
Down lands unknown
Listening, as the cracked bells
In perpetual static motion
Growl in the bleached urban presence
Of a comatose hell, and fragments
Leaving behind our split footprints
Listening...
And listening...

magnificent, a display of how chris' mind blooms, always a wonder and here in full and in the smoke gardens of bakkhus, what else but to be amazed and glad, and inhale the poetry of revolt
