i think

By elisa

*i sigh a grain of patience*

the break down
as it goes

[ignorance]
an assuming approach
with a pre-concluded tone

glass eyes
glossed
mirror ready
to reflect the image
[believed]
of what you chose to [not] see
of me

i think
'what do you want from me'

i still my pithy plea

i think
'don't judge me'

...of no avail...

i brace
my waning patience

as your predetermined words
take the stage

[reluctantly]
i think
'Action...........queue the dummies lips!'
*segue*
'roll sound script'

i hear
the imbecilic dictum
drivel thick with condescension

i think
'i don't want to play today'

the spotlight waits
like a dim bulb
brimming with thoughts of being clever

i pause
in a humming state

i think
'you think you know me...'
