Everything will work itself out
By antiScripsony
You can't make me jealous, 'cause I was just out with all of my friends,
everyone there who would probably all think the same, but I don't think
that I know their names
My lust for you is strictly platonic, I'd love to better get to know you
or get a bit closer until my debt is repaid, we've all got it made
We never fight, we never get mad at each other, 'cause neither of us could
ever hurt the other and when we get mad, we don't let it affect our day,
we lock it away
I guess if we've gotta talk politics
I'm running for office as an optimist
Everything will work itself out
If we just settle down and don't get in the way
I know it seems I don't believe in anything
But I guess I must believe if I think
Everything will work itself out
Or we'll throw it away
We'll find something else that's OK
I like to get food late at night even if it hurts me I just like the drive
thrus and the people there are so nice, they're all still awake just for
me, as far as I see
I don't think that any inevitable truth will change any way that we operate,
life doesn't like to change so we'll figure out our problems when we get
to them, just don't sit me next to them
If you get cold you hide under a blanket and if you get hungry you'll eat
all your food so what's to keep you from depriving yourself from all the
unhappy, the world seems so crappy
I guess if we're talking about our jobs
I'm mostly in it for the job done well
I could never do this every day
Unless everything worked itself out
I know it seems I don't work for anything
But I must be burnt out if I believe that
I could never do this every day
I'm going home
I'm going alone
Everyone here has always been so good to me, I'll try to make it up to
them
But I can't see any time to make it up to thee

Well....good piece! I like your kind of straight-forward writing, and it gives much detail about life. Good job :)

Your writing is always so simplistic, in a sense. But that's what makes it marvelous. I'm with elisa, on the ending. This was wonderful man.

such an impenetrable line between optimism and faith..... i Love the archaic ending. excellence at its best.
