Sum of Her Tears

By lupus tenebrae

The noxious limbs of sumac, bend,
limber in the rough hand of Nature:

her apologies, resonant like the soft,
ceasless patter of Summer rain

and her arms, no longer plagued
by bands of residual fire, fall lax

to her side, quarrels washed away
by the sum of her tears.

Beautiful, and reminiscent of what I could see out my window before the storm the other night. The trees swaying, strange glowing horizon, pulsing sheets of rain... Well captured, good sir! Ciao, T/S Scholar
