Carnations, Jutting Skyward

By lupus tenebrae

Carnations; plumes jutting skyward,
cocked in inquistive fashion, shimmer
with an emerald gleam:

one befitting a precious gem, its facets
polished to oblivion, ravishing beauty
given center stage by default.
