Strumming, Once More with Feeling
By lupus tenebrae
The way the creek
furrows in song
...
sharing tenebrous words
by
the dying afternoon sun
resembles a friend
strumming her lullabies
once more
...
with feeling;
coaxing fireflies
into a subservient dance,
their effervescent waltz
drawing lime-green halos
against the shapeless contrast
of the sky.

Yo, this is sick! Saw one of your first pieces and the improvement in your wording is quite obvious. Nice!

I felt I had to read it aloud, to fully experience the fluid quality of the piece. The imagery is also very appealing. The whole thing is just... Beautiful!

Took me to my past, picnics that turned into bonfires with friends pulling out instruments and the taods and insects playing along. Beautiful lil melody here, thanks - XXOO

I love the constant songs that only creeks can create, babbling & soothing, strumming the deepest of tunes. You bring much to life to these images. Cool summertime piece, Jared.
