The Last Bandage

By lupus tenebrae

Sometimes, I could hear it,
the pleading gauze,
and this time was no different…

Trailing behind my defiant steps,
some gruesome tendril
and memory to match,
pleading once again…

No going back, no relapses,
the last indulgence will never be.
The Flood of Tears,
will sweep my sins away.

Something on the cathartic side of town, and yes, I was a cutter at one time. However, I left that part of myself to the elements.

Gruesome tendril trailing behind does conjure up an image of moving on perhaps, well done Wolfie, cheers!
