Silver in the Murk

By lupus tenebrae

Subtle stream,
the hints of silver
offset by the murk
like an abstract form of nature.

Leaves turn premature crimson,
here, out of eagerness,
to shimmer,
like the aforementioned silvers.

At the border
where lively birds chatter
and engines murmur,
there is a standstill.

Author's Note:

A decidedly more natural approach to my writing, I wanted to try some observational poetry by the creek.
