Confounding the Spirit
By lupus tenebrae
Jealous of the always happy endings,
the genesis for lichens through the tunnel,
confounding all the
spirit's lights instead.
Parasites believe in nothing sacred
or holy waters thicker than the blood,
jealous of the always happy
endings
For lesser-than-pariahs on the highway
or lotus
plumes adrift on every ripple,
the genesis for lichens in the tunnel
Has been defined as being “new beginning”,
the simple
poetry, of which, confuses,
confounding all the spirit's lights instead.

This is pure art. Sometimes our best work is done in an offhand, barely cognizant state. I love this. A glimpse at the etchings on the slate of your inner mind. Very Lovecraftian...how could I not notice?

Moss is actually a symbiotic relationship between a fungus and an algae as I recall. Partial to low light environmrnts like a mushroom. Bright green is a brilliant chartreuse, beautiful, like this was.
