The Song She Sings//Memory Of Us (with Lynaes)

as early shrieks & quarrels
of filthy crows in flight
scratch the glistening skin
of a heavy, ample twilight
the lullaby warps and moans
as I press down the needle
deep into the gyral black
to mutilate the song
that plagues my..her voice
as I retch on ribbons
of hot lyrical lust
curling under my breath
("Oh, let these words
follow love and die")
but it still plays sweet
inside my head
this lullaby of [us]
the past I always over-play
again and again
like a revered fairy tale
spiralling beautifully
in my scathing memories
like the ribbons in her hair
and like her sugared voice
I can't get this song
out of my aching head...

.

it pulses and pounds
dopelmines to a quick halt
derailing those that
are driving behind...
this voice...so pure..
like an angel from heaven
singing songs with her wings..
as they flap
the winds invade my delicate
ears with highpitch beauty
going in both ears simutaneously
meeting eachother in the
brainsheart
giving life to the dead thoughts
that passed away
when griefstruck tragedies took
ahold of the minds kerosene lantern
smashing it against the walls
of my fragile little world
no one really cared about
until...
until i heard her sweet voice
speaking to me
only me

and she sings

[our] song//sweet lullaby

in spiraling circles

of famished vultures

I refuse to be the prey

of ribboned memories

but if it is she,

that ties her love

around my neck

Oh please hunter,

Let me be thy prey...

*echoes Ash* and adds "I refuse to be the prey / of ribboned memories" as a 'I have to single out this amazing line' moment. Excellent work. :)
