Glimmer (with Lynaes)

By knightmirror

Countless ways for us to grow
blooming under the moons
of unimaginable colors shining
upon the brittle soil
so things walked upon by all
are now seen with naked eyes
such as our emotions worn
on broken shoulders
making the pain intensify
as we try to fly into wormholes
taking us to God knows where
and through the darkened bracken
of unmeasurable forest-like realms
I feverishly search for so much more
that what I naturally recieved
and in the heat of colors assigned
to my feeble mortal soul
I feel so bare
emptinesshines into the abyss
pulling us into shades
of torment hidden behind drapes
drawn at moments
when this burning sundried star
blew windows of opportunity
opening us with grace, blessing us
under sparklingazes
twinkling...
flashing...
in...and out
of telepathic minds
yet still I fight for freedom
from the glare of spotlights
beyond the cushioned walls
of our frantic minds
always yearning to chew away
the ties that bind our thoughts
as situations twirl and shift
and emotions rearrange
by the colored rays of moons and stars
the galaxy of he who pulls our strings
and manipulates our sacred intuitions
I want to see past these cushioned walls
of our fractured, tormented hearts
and the shreds of our evading minds
but the jagged little pieces of destiny
fall from the static atmosphere and into place
upon this brittle soil
and all I can do is live,
breathe
and pray
to nothing
and to no one
for shards of sweet salvation
