Cat's Eye Ninjutsu

By lupus tenebrae

Cat’s eye in the grass,
eyeballing at lady luck,
green as green can turn

Not with envy, no,
but with a fine acrylic
in mind at all times.

Narrow elusion
of every artisan grasp,
and a poet’s rage.

One should simply bow,
admit to this ninjutsu,
and call it a Spring.

As a poet, the greatest slap in the face, is for one of our own metaphors to become literal.

your prose is the best my friend... cat's eye marbles, remind me of my younger days... which of late have become more of a daze... i love the cat and the karate metaphors... write on my friend
