Simple Things

By Aurora_Light

I don't want a bed of roses or even a bouquet.
One single rose is all I need to brighten the saddest of days.
I don't want gold or diamond rings or even strings of peals.
Your smile and your laughter are the greatest gifts in the world.
Don't shower me with attention I'm not use to all the fuss.
Don't call and talk forever say "I love you" then hang up.
I need you to walk be side me so I can look into your eyes.
I need you to hold me when I'm frightened and scared inside.
I may need your shoulder to cry on or a slap across the face at times.
If you truly love me as you say you do.
Show me these simple things,
For it's the simple things that say,
I love you.
