Portrait (The Shades Of You)
By maddin foxxxy
I don't know how to make a sky blue
And I don't know the colors
that taint all of you.
I wish my paintbrush was long
And could paint the largest bridge
To follow your steady song.
And as I stare into each star
I wonder if God painted them
to watch over where you are.
My hand comes unstable as weather,
Our portrait is now done
and we look beautifully together.
And as gray skyes paint our view,
I will draw a whole new world
of happiness just for you.
When you go to sleep at night
When your colors come to fade
I will paint myself holding you so tight.
And I will create my own sky blue,
One I can rise my eyes to
and dream alone with you.

"I wish my paintbrush was long" This is truely beautiful, w/ simple waves as pure as anything Monet; I can feel the watercolored passion which bleed from your splendid brush.
