i lost you again
By SourInnocence
I heard a voice I thought was yours,
And tried to chase it down.
But the words stopped,
And I lost you again.
I saw a face I thought was yours,
And I tried not to stare,
But I blinked,
And I lost you again.
I felt a touch I thought was yours,
And enjoyed every ignorant second,
But the lights came on,
And I lost you again.
I kissed lips I thought were yours,
Yet they seemed drier, and chapped.
I pull away and opened my eyes,
And I lost you again.
I had you once, but I threw you away.
And I tried to get you back.
But you broke.
And I’ll never know you again.

Oh how remorse haunts. May it hopefully make one think before they disregard another, open eyes to what one does have and learn to appreciate.

it really sucks when you keep losing the same person to your own stupid mistakes, I know how that feels
