Fear Of . . .
By GothicBlack
I'm afraid of the dangerous
Of hurting one's self too far
I'm not afraid of the pain
Only the un-removable scars
I'm afraid of all the people
That walk blindly down the hall
I'm not afraid of all my teachers
Just the power that they hold
I'm afraid of an empty classroom
Where all have left me alone
I'm not afraid of the darkness
Only of silence's cold
I'm afraid of the plastic faces
Including my own, everyday
I'm not afraid of hiding
Just the running in disarray
I'm afraid of all obsessions
The constant repeat in my head
I'm not afraid of all the beatings
Only the bruises left by friends
I'm afraid of loosing control
My life spinning horribly backwards
I'm not afraid of the criticism
Just the attention that I’ve attracted
I'm afraid of everyone
Thus including thyself
I'm not afraid of any pain
Only the unavoidable attempt at suicide. . .
Or the scars left
On my now healed skin
My deepest darkest fear
Is of a singe object
The unexpected blades
That haunt my every day

for some reason this reminds me of a song by jack off jill called fear of dying."I'm not afraid of speaking my mind, I'm just afraid of being bored." Except yours actually sounds better. Heh.
