angelic voices echo
within my hollow mind
reverberating
resounding
within me relentless
as harmonious songs
that are sung
blossom thoughts
sinuous and undulating notes
like a snake charmer
rising his pet
just as the newborn roses
develop with aching intensity
and flow
inside freshly plowed soil
so rich
and inviting to explore
careful not to hit veins
which act as irrigation pipes
watering this smeared confusion
with thoughts
of hit or miss achievement
that refuses to act alone
in deciding with what
must be done
in this garden next

to feed this flower with
ever changing colors
of questioning
then answering
calls from small
raindrops
that fall with seeking kisses
in a riot of sparked waves
lighting tides that glide
upon windstreams
to flow and ebb
with neon intensity
to control the crossing and uncrossing
of seemingly
binding
blinding roots
or should it be left to grow and
give off its own mosaic puzzling
with the scent of new grasping shoots
beginning possibilities
like a hybrid florascape
stretching
filling
my ever voided thoughts
with springs whispers
of newfound delight
and summer wishings
misted in electric lightning

shocking crops
with tinsel volts
in sporadic timing
achieving growth
from miraculous energies
just when the thought crossed my mind
failure has come sooner than i imagined
but then
out of this heart of hearts
compassion suddenly is dispersed
into rows
of succulent morning dew
dew dripping up
into the barren sky
patiently soaking up all beauty
that's unselfishly given

to rain upon those
in dire times
