Worries: Gone and Smoldering
By lupus tenebrae
Leave worries here,
under the vigilant,
overcast eve
to be lapped by the aquamarine
to be stung by
the venomous mercury
of its song...
Leave them
bottled and washed ashore,
marred as the once proud bedrock
that
wears graffiti in dry,
unrecognizable rebellion.
Then
scorch them to an aged grey,
until their poetry is no more;
their
metaphors an aromatic ash

Wow! This poem is fantastic. It has a raw yet elegant feel to it. Nice.

As for the first stanza, that is often how I feel when I read your poetry. I've been reading your works for quite some time, mulling them over in my head as to what they mean to me, to you, and to others, whether they have read it or not. I confess to being lazy and not commenting on those until now, with my recent comment splurge on your page. I will continue this, this morn'. There is always hope screaming at you in dulcet tones. Whether or not you're tuned to listen is the key. This took me back to some places. Being in a tree, just before dawn, waiting for the school bus to arrive, with all the other children below you talking about things that sound trivial and inept, who came at the last few minutes, when you were the first, sitting up there for half an hour, to be exact. Thank you.
