Sonnet to My bleeding Lip

By Circe Avalon

The taste in mouth is sweet, liquid pleasure
mature and full bodied aromatic
a spring from a fount of life
Of salt and dreams
crimson nectar
beautiful like a bleeding lip
blood that caresses swelling pink lips
trickling down my alabaster chin
a graceful waltz of chaos
like a parade of tears
savory and delicate
proclaims innocence and guilt
torture to beauties ideal
makes it beauty all the more
