Cloak of Death

By Syn

I wear this cloak of death
Black as midnight
Shining as the Dead Sea
Beauty weeps as she comforts me
but willful lust has treasured me
I've lost solace in this daydream
Imprisoned in your nightmare
enduring daily screams of tortured souls
and losing myself for spite
I desperately yearned for serenity
bled for truths betrayed
Stripped of myself
Damned
Naked
Wearing only a cloak of death

And is this the only comfort? To be wrapped in deaths trappings? I loved it! ~*~Circe

Again such beauty and sorrow in your words. Lines 4 & 5 really stand out to me. I just love the things you write! -Michael
