Virgo's Spica

By XCryingMinotaurX

“saw purple star tonight & thought of u. thank u”

the simplest words can bring a rush of blood to the brain
while thoughts create shadows on the wall
ghosts snicker behind billowing curtains
distant bodies form shapes under sheets

if these words could hold the world
they would be spun into the constellations
filling the hole in the heart of a poet

not even a galaxy of purple stars could come close
to love unchallenged and untouched
skin burning to beat the Phoenix flame
arising from ashes to set ablaze mute brown eyes

but Virgo collides with Libra
throwing her off balance with his virginal stare
she cares not for the illuminations of Spica
for without Libra, Virgo has no muse
and she shall always shine on

this is simply lovely. the longing and ache for what (or who) one does not have is expressed perfectly.

Very thought provoking, although I believe my version is Virgo collides with Taurus... versatile? I believe so. *wink* ~Heather
