By slow.burn.star

don't you remember the taste
and the way the edge of day
broke over your . . .:: wrist like
some
fire ignited in your veins.
releasing bloodlust and brimstone.
cascading in crimson streaks, thick and delicate and beautiful.
forcing the s c r e a m s out of you
with my hands
clasped around your ~slender neck.
so delicate.
the black tendrils of your hair
were soaked in blood.
your

cold

skin
the color of dove wings.

red nightfall
inching over you're lips
like the shadows of lust
at sunset.

i breathed great swells of steam into the night air.
& you,
so perfect in your sleep..
weeping tears like
shattered glass against the pale of your cheek.
you dreamed for me.
as the waves licked the sand and somewhere

over the azure abyss

where the sky meets the sea..

it waits.

and i can taste the dream under your s k i n
you're so beautiful when you hurt
for me
when you're hair falls
just
that
way:::

things could never be the same. i saw you and everything inside me knew.
when you walked away. i hope you're dream is lovely. i hope its everything
you wanted it to be. i hope you never sleep.
when you're eyes fall on me
just
that
way:::

i'll kiss you're eyelids for the last time
and whisper
you
to sleep. just that way. dreamdreamdreamdream
dream dream d r e a m. . .

crushed shells lying by the shore.
never to be whole.
and i, shattered look upon the waves like little wishes
broken by the land.

you're hands are soft and wet.
and i smile at your eyelids, closed for the last time.
colors pooling in the sand. the sound. rushing.
rushing.
and i told you i would give you something special.

its cold now

but you

are calm.
