Incomplete

By diavolessa

Goodbye friend.
I hope I will never see you again

There are times when I feel sorry
Sorry for the person I grew up to be
I am sorry that I didn’t became a butterfly
A metamorphosis left incomplete

I am a bird that cannot fly
I am a song without a tune
I am a guitar left on a corner
With broken stings

There was a scream I could hear
And the ring bearer of destiny
Married fate told me to stop

I stopped, caught my breath
Realized at last it wasn’t my blunder
You were the one who slaughtered my soul
The one that poised these feeling

Maybe tomorrow I will grow
Become complete
