XXXGENERATIONXXX old DP
By Jaded Jezzabelle
This is yet one more post
about the issues I have with labels...
What do they mean
when they call us Generation X
do our mischieious ways eXcite them
Are they envious of our eXtream lifestyles
or do they see us as eXtravagent
eager to eXperiment with mind eXpanding substances
to eXperience peace
Are they that contemptuous of our idealistic
alltruistic attitudes
Are we their Generation X because we eXasperate them
when we eXtend to them
the same treatment they gave to us
When they eXcluded us
eXploited us
eluded us
wished they could eXecute us
We are eXhausted by their
eXtensive attempts
to eXterminate
everything that makes us
us
They ask us to eXplain our pain
yet when we try to eXpress or distress
we eXpose their unscrupulous ways
and
we are called slanderous
its scandelous
and
It must be genetic
to be so poetic
when we dramatize
our need to eXceed them
To be eloquent
when we tell of their abandonment
that they disguised as
freedom
We are a generation demoralized
by the insolent ways
of our fathers
We surprise them...the way we dispise them
We've been demmed an embarresment
to their seed
our generation of goateed
hedonistic
slackers
Who now stare at them with voyeristic indifference
as they fail to notice our intellegence
or to recognize
that we are nothing more
than the consequence
of their negligence
They sold our innocence
creating in its place
a surealistic void
that we've come to eXcept
as
life
Then wonder why we are belligerent
we are furious
ambiguous
some of us are dangerous
sadistic
masochistic
A Generation forced to be realistic
and
eXcept that we've been mislead
This Generation spawned by X deadheads
will proceed to be incessed at the eXample
that was set
by the Generation that came before us
It was easier to ignore us
than to instore in us
the tools we would need
to
succeed

gen x... gen x and everything after for that matter... what is this world we've come into... you leave me with questions and with a feeling of the rhythm of the displaced generations

I would like to say something half intelligent to this, but for the fact that you blew my mind, I'll leave it at: A fine slice of the mind and perception of the world today. Brilliant

Loved every little word, every capitalised X. Somehow I felt at home, like someone knew me. "They sold our innocence creating in its place a surealistic void that we've come to eXcept as life" loved this stanza. one more to add to my fav's {dia}
