I Bow to the Tao

By Mr King

humility
stay close to me

ego
stay grounded
stable in the surroundings around me

flying too high
i crash into the sky

losing connection with my daily lesson
and with the people around me

impatient

trying to control and dominate
unable to wait
no longer free

has the Tao has abandoned me?

no
really now
eye see

i have abandoned the Tao
in my own self-centered egocentricity

not listening to the quiet voice of conscience
within stillness and simplicity

Dear Lord of All
within All

guide and humble me
from the blindness of my own self-absorbed condition

to be
to do

and yet again
to be

a time for each
and to be aware of what time is now

this is the Way

for without You
i realize i am nothing

yet through You
all becomes a possibility
life itself becomes reality

yet when i am attached
i am like a stone

and You oh Lord
You are the River

wearing me away

but when I place myself in Your Hands
You refine me into an instrument
of Your Universal Will

All thanks and praises are due to You...
