Fear Not this Oxygen

By Mr King

the morning woke me with a gentle kiss...

arising carefully to my callous feet...
my thoughts settled abruptly...
and came to rest as if magnetically...

standing firmly...
like upon a plateau of red brick iron ore...

viewing a vast vista of azure...
my eyes sharpened into focus now clearly...

fear NOT this oxygen!

but breathe it in deeply...
and fill your lungs completely...

take these simple crystalline lines and forge new times...
giving feathery wings to bold and life giving things...

take these written roots to grind...
and make an herbal tea...

let your mind dive deep into a salty living sea...
and let your soul like compressed charcoal...

become a complex geometry...
out of which a million radiant rays emanate...

and although all seems to tend toward oblivion...
as a sun opening from within...

blind the blurry eyed when you radiate...

It is caustic to breathe in this air undiluted by pollution...One should fear his oxygen and rightly so, for it is a bitter taste in the face of modernity's ugly head...What the hell, we'll breathe it anyway and be that much better for it...
