Lonely Words

By Scarrzz

The trouble with poetry is
it’s only words,
when what you need is a touch,
some Love returned to fill that emptiness.
No matter how well words describe the pain
and no matter how much you pour what is left
of your aching heart and soul into the verses,
when they fall on deaf ears and stone hearts,
they mean nothing.
It’s like a picture of a place
Where no one wants to be.
