A moment to process human stupidity

By Circe Avalon

What makes a human act like that?
Is it because of human competitiveness or is it truly so trivial that on the pavement battlefield we ride on metal encrusted horses to fight for lane and parking space.
To remain the king of the asphalt arena.
Why is it so important?

Why do we hurt each other so maliciously and then when a similar incident befalls us we scream about life's injustice.
We don't treat people with respect, we treat them with contempt.
We build up our egos and shove our noses in the air and in other peoples business.

Honestly is only in fiction.
The only people who read fiction are dreamers and dreamers have no place in this world.

I don't want to live in a world where this is everyday.
And the only way to change it is to somehow make every person hold a mirror up to see how ugly they are being.
And they never will, because that would be admitting defeat. That would scar their pride.

And how ugly can you be without your pride?
How simplistic and stupid?
Keep your field of vision narrow, so you can't see the people who are hurting.
You have only yourself to look after, no need to bother yourself with compassion.
Morals and ethics are only guidelines, and no one follows guidelines.

yup, I was just having this same rant/convo the other day. people will seemingly never get it; thousands of years of human history has proven this time and again. we are the retards of the universe. oh boy do we suck ass with a straw. my bubble is a miniscule shelter for a reason.

my compassion is a huge liability.... always seen as a weakness. very sad indeed. well said.

your compassion is not a liability; it's the weakness of others that would take advantage of it through their own shortcomings - as if oft the case; we're stupid because we can't even mostly be honest with one another, especially when it counts - we are taught to play stereotypes lest the 'herd' think bad of us, etc - it causes inadvertently all types of problems anyway, so many of us now hide or adopt gimmicks and pseudo make-ups on the internet, which is why the net is also risky and not ideal for those looking for a life beyond the cyber one, athough not in every case granted...
