A Mother's Touch
By Gray Vision
There isn’t any set amount of words
That
can quite explain a mother’s touch,
Because just the very
phrase
Means so very much.
From the time we’re
born
We’re caressed in such loving,
Tender arms,
Silenced,
In the comfort of her embrace,
We
drift off for the first time,
Roaming through time and space.
But within our short moment together
She wastes no
time,
Whispering to us the sweetest things,
That
we’ll surely come to understand
In time,
Her
nurturing instincts are always in play,
Despite our current
age
Her ways never sway,
Always there to comfort
us
In the toughest of times,
Just as she always
has
Time after countless time,
And she never asks
for anything in return
Which adds more to the reason why,
There simply aren’t any words
That can quite explain
this simple phrase,
When it comes to mind.

A wonderful, tender piece made sweeter by the fact that I’ve got a sleeping, snoring baby in my arms. So glad you recommended it.

Though time with my mother was short, there was just enough to feel that nurturing. Like the sweetest of dreams, then waking up before it even began. This gives me a mixture of feelings, write on.
