voices like hand grenades.

By Six-Out

i
don't
want
to
write
anymore

i'm content with just speaking.
because i've lost the ability to articulate poetically.
i can simply part my lips. and let
the rivers flow. like currents, my words drip
the metaphors are bleeding. and I can only stare
in complete awe. i've never felt this hollow
in my life.

and i want to scream. instead of pour ink
from the wounds that are still- all too fresh. because
i breathe in poetic heartbeats. like some sort of
low class kerouac wanna be. i'm tired of it.
to put it nicely.

and i want to speak. this is what I do.
i feel. far too much to pen on paper. so i want to speak.
and i'm begging you.

listen to me.

made me envious. I'm a bumbling fool vocally. Its crippling when my pen fails too. Badass, man.

wow i feel this inside it gave me goosebumps. sometimes writing i feel is the only way to get out whats inside. speaking is not always easy and someone truely listening and not just hearing is hard to come by.

this still hurt to read, but it's familiar... i hope you never decide to completely stop writing... spurts here and there if you're so inclined... i'd miss your words, but your voice is for always...

damn man, i relate to this so muchly...each word, the rhythm behind/within the emotion and the fukking realness of this piece...it speaks so purely and so truly...and i hear you, i feel you, i understand...

  • A former member wrote: raw. ..but you dont you dare stop writing.. .regardless of eyes seeing you beyond the psuedo.ears listening to you.....your wrods are REAL; sometimes for a 'poet' [and who really IS a poet except that someone else says they are:: you ARE a poet} for a poet, words are LIFE....so dont stop breathing.writing.living.dying...all on paper. ...dont you dare.

What can I say? I know this feeling. Its a frustration that cannot be overlooked. You write wonderfully when you write. But speaking is a medium as well. Words are the important thing, in whatever form. This was a beautiful write about not writing and I can respect it. I hope its not true. --Jes

I think you should keep writing though it's none of my business. Each time you write, you reach out and as you can already see there are already many here who reach out right back to you and in my humble opinion that's reason enough to reach for the stars even when they're fading.

Some people aren't worth the words you give them. They will live forever reflected in your writings, when they deserve nothing more than a quiet, unnoticed death. This is no reason to not write, though. Just pick a more worthy muse...
