You taught me the meaning of True Love.
To
choose one truth as preeminent above all others.
Or is that
Faith?
What is it when you give up everything for a chance at
the one thing you truly desire?
The pearl of great
price.
You were my price.
I have never been fully
accepted, even though I thought for once I was.
I cannot say
whether I have been fully desired,
but I have only felt it
from you.
For you to say that you only wanted “someone”
crushes me as shattered glass.
You would take from
me everything, only to throw me away?
I had not known single-mindedness
of heart until that moment when I
gave up everything of myself
to be yours.
The love that was generated in my heart
is beyond anything else in my comprehension.
I gave you all
of me.
Even though you didn’t want it, I wish for you to know
my truth.
You have my love.

I would suggest, perhaps, maybe, and of course, only a suggestion.... that in the lines: "The pearl of great price.You were my price." the pearl be more prominent than the price.... maybe perhaps.... good to see you writing again!
