The applications of blood

By Circe Avalon

Smeared across a surface
creating polished crimson fans

Written into words
to spell out love or twisted demands

cascading into tear drops
leaving spotted inky stains

violent pulsing spray
showering objects with vermilion rains

puddles of traveling red
pool into gel and turn black as night

splatters across a wall
as the victim runs for their life
