I Made Love With Clothes On
By Mylissa
I always made love to him with clothes on.
safety intertwined in the fabric of heat.
a forecast unknown—would it rain
{or} would it snow.
“our” dreams left exposed.
And he began to dip my heart in fondue.
eating away my defenses like
Hannibal Lector- receding only
to chew.
Tasting pain wrapped in the static of beats.
seconds. moments. he plunged so deep.
as I thirst for his words to
tongue tie my wrists.
And his lips to lacerate edges that twist-
forming sexu-ality. taming
spiritu-ality. until I ached
to pray {only to him}.

Your work always brings a touch of reality into the complex associations you develop.... unique phraseology, stylistically advanced in trope, in turns... well written... love the touch of the spiritual in this hot, devouring piece. Congrats on POTD!

You nicely illustrated that sometimes making love with your clothes can be subtle, but sexual too. ~T

Nice! I like the imagery of having your heart dipped in fondue, "tongue tie my wrists" also creates a great mental picture. Ciao, T/S

"tongue tie my wrists. And his lips to lacerate edges that twist-" There is a Poe-esque tinntinnabulation that rings, beats, pulses in this sexual-cum-Hannibal poem. i can feel the fabric of your wordHeat{heatedWords}. Sizzzzz-!
