the unequal equation of sex vs love
By KittyStryker
i read all the time
about
sex = love
love = sex
and the inequality
of that sentence
how people
fuck without love
or love
without sex
what is more pure
what is downright sinful
but
people forget
there is one more
element
to the equation
intimacy
you could have
love
without intimacy, without
feeling like you know
the person
inside and out
you can have
sex
with intimacy
but without love
it still means something
it's still
worth memories
intimacy
is the balancing factor
between sex
and love
you don't need love
to be intimate
you don't need sex
to be intimate
all three
create explosions
but any one
singularly
or combined
can create
their own fires
their own joys
and truly
who are you
to judge
what combination
is acceptable
for anyone
except
you?

i don't mind someone i love loving multiple people. i just need reassurance. Isaac has multiple partners and yet i feel totally pampered by him. i honestly wouldn't know if he didn't tell me. it's lovely. :) when it works... it really works!

sex did mean something,I still felt insecure because I knew he wasnt mine, which I guess if your in love, yes you still might feel insecure from time to time, but you know they love you+hopefully only you.I dont know if what I just said makes any sense...B

but the older you get, at least in my case, the physical act seems less if there is not love involved... almost like an afterthought... a piece to make you think... nice!

a huge part of this is that my sex with my Dom is intimate... we aren't in love... it's also not "just sex"... there's a connection. it's powerful... but it's not love, by any means. i wanted to give that a name.

::grins:: that's what inspired me, actually. this isn't directed at you at all- i just feel, strongly, that people forget part of the equation when they think of such things... and that they might want to consider intimacy in their negotiations. :D

Very well said. We all choose our own paths, but fuck anyone who judges us different for our choices.Intimacy is the balance...never really thought of it that way, but it is true now that I think of it.~Mikey
