The Charade (villanellish)
By dwells
They made us think that we were in control
Our lives and fortunes pledged to play their game
To guarantee that we performed our role
Dependent on their rice within our bowl
Our leaders: men and women lacking shame
They made us think that we were in control
We lost the courts and then we lost our soul
When God was dead; with just ourselves to blame
To guarantee that we performed our role
Dissenters: some in jail, some on parole
Their minds were freshly scrubbed to make them tame
By then we knew that we had lost control
Our children never understood the hole
We let them dig as we betrayed their name
The edge before us looming, black as coal
Another war, the youthful faces droll
No bullets; fixing bayonets to maim
They made us think that we were in control
To guarantee that we would know our role

History, truth, nor fate are with us or against us. We left the world machine go rogue in order to stare at the little box and giggle. It takes more than two minutes to see what happened in the world each day. Ignorance is it's own reward. We've burnt the "Library of Alexandria" in our time by corrupting the data in it. The truth must be worked for. Bosch had to veil his painting's meaning and now we all must mind our tone. Dwell on.

Life can be repetitive in ways we don't want it. I enjoyed this because solving these patterns, in my opinion, is the soul purpose of writing in the journal. :)

Idk, we've recently found a wrist watch in a tomb from thousands of years ago. Both are plausible, viable outcomes. Time-traveller that lost an item (if you think I'm nuts; check out some "unexplainable" time travelling videos on YouTube.) Loved this for the current direction we're going; but everything is no need to fret, things will most likely on a probability workout from a scientifically statistical average basis.

I am concerned we are upon a path we can't correct--it will be our children that pay this steep moral debt. Too long we were blinded by the words--"you are in control" --We realized too late that we were just cogs in a machine that was only envious of more and more---Green! I always love your writes, so crafty. Thanks for sharing
