...Magnetic Perfection

By SolApathy

As I lay here, still dizzy
You left your handprint upon my soul
I’m unwilling to yet let go
Magnetism of your sunrise eyes
Pulls the stars from the sky
Feel the allure of my sigh
As my hand brushed upon your thigh
Glanced in my direction –We felt a connection
Polar-opposite attraction
Unexpected reaction
Your eyes locked with mine
We kissed across the room- Devine
Around the universe burned
Our ethereal embrace churns
Sensual winds blow upon this earthly vessel
Breaking the status-quo
-- an unlikely love unfolds--
Yet we have never touched - -Why is it we both blush?
Magnetic perfection –We glide across the room
Into each other’s embrace of a star-lit moon
These are the images conjured within my mind
Even as you were never here-  Across a distance unbroken
In this text based world in which we have so many times—Spoken

Never guessed where this was going until the ending, and dumbfounded by the artistry of the overall approach to a classical theme. Le sigh, and cheers Sol! - Dan

Everything about this screams. It aches. Such emotion.

Longing for a beautiful thing that has yet to unfold. The imaginative burning - bravo

This is really beautiful, so much so that I'm at a loss for words at the moment. So full of love and longing. So sensual. I've read it twice through already...maybe third time is the charm and then I can attempt a proper comment? Scholar

I love every word of this. Romantic and sensual; bursting with magical realism. "Magnetism of your sunrise eyes/Pulls the stars from the sky"...I think is my favorite line, as it shows how tangible this moment is as you paint it in your mind. Scholar
