Αγρός αίματος

By BlackVelvet Rose

Αγρός αίματος

infatuated with,
besotted by,
dotting over,
obsessed with a ghost.

a mirror image,
a magnification
of everything it
was a moment ago.

a gag, suffocating
by asphyxiation
suppressing it's
last breath.

a body bathed,
showered in the
warmth of
coagulating blood.

never a thought,
or thoughtless deliberation
given to the fact
it would keep me warm.

on this deathly,
baleful, inert night
screams heard not of pain
but of pure ecstasy.

white skin illuminated,
somber so pale
under the
blazing moonlight.

a retrospection
of slight reminiscence
to the eyes of a
freshly fallen snow.

a darkness,
floating shadows
form patterns within
black tendrils of hair.

and my lips,
dripping red of
glistening rubies
still purr.

uttering a breath
of the lord's
proper name
from a forked tongue.

wrists so fragile,
so thin seemingly
melting within
my cold hands.

with my flesh
upon it's
gravity tends to
tread lightly.

upon this apparition
my pallid garments
lay tattered, torn
in unending shreds.

with the last of
my humanity
i gaze upon
this dead face.

locked within a
darkness, a soul
scorching abyss
of a frozen stare.

eyes open, pupils dilated
streaming my mortality
reflecting not what i am
but what i have become.

pledging my
undying allegiance
unrelenting
upon the growing dusk.

giving all that i am
to push on through
growing with evil power
absorbing this life as mine.

becoming one
i remove the restraint
inhaling the
scent of death.

Wow. You could be published easily, you're that good. You should submit this, along with the drawing, to a place that prints this sort of thing, including the dark overtones. Excellent work. 10.
