jardin de l'amore ( re-written for POE101 class)

By BlackVelvet Rose

come love, shed these woes
leaving this land of mortal foes.
traveling far on paths un-tread
through the glorious jungle by no mortal led.

foraging through the canopy, into a garden of emerald
under new-born stars full of passion unbridled.
it is here that love and earth can be as one
basking in the moon-lights silvery cauldron.

fashioned within these leaves of gold
a crown of ivy trailing for love to behold.
such grandeur earth will faithfully wear
in an exchange of celestial vows without a care.

in this garden of emerald, earth will love,
rain scented of jasmine and falling foxglove.
under a breathing azure sky
it is here love and earth will die.
