The Happy People

By Scarrzz

The happy people are the best liars.
They've convinced even themselves that where they are
is exactly where they want to be.
Pity the ones though that buy into their fantasies so deeply,
so naively that they start believing it at their core,
in their miserable misguided hearts,
because then,
then is when they go and do something
so utterly stupid
as to fall in love.

Thanks Cherry Bear, it's good to hear from you. I'm pleased that you like the poem, and saddened because that probably means you understand it. That kind of truth is usually reserved for those that have paid a price for it. Big Hugs for the Bear. Scholar
