  • "Thanks! I'm glad you liked it, although I can't help but feel more than a little sympathy toward anyone who can relate to this kind of pain..."

  • "I really like your poem! The emotion in it is really raw, and I feel like I can relate to the characters' pain. The fact that you are able to use such vivid description and not lose the message of the poem is incredibly impressive to me. Awesome job!"

  • "Strikingly original imagery P. and the contrasting stanzas with their individually conflicted elements were torturously true to your screen name my friend. Cheers! - Dan"

  • "A sorrowful lamentation on the death of three perhaps: mother, child, and father forever cursed. Lots to say but I won't my friend. The evil that we do is eternal. Cheers - Dan"

  • "Thanks rebs, always wanted to learn piano/keyboards myself but don't have the memory for it. About all I can handle are power chords on guitar, and, I'm pretty sure “Junkyard Guitar” would've been the wrong way to go with this idea..."

  • "As a piano player, the title drew me in, and my eyes were serenaded by written beauty. This is unparalleled, darlin'. Rebs:)."

  • "It's actually about electing to serve self in the name of country or whatever the cause. All respect to soldiers who enlist for unselfish reasons, however misguided they may be. And I do believe there can be deathbed confessions (when a person has long suffered for their sins/mistakes and nobody knew until the end), but NEVER deathbed conversions, which have nothing to do with repentance and everything to do with basic Survivalism. • "Yep, ours is not to reason why... Liking the way you elected here to serve country instead of wife, if I understand the thrust of it. Never an easy way out. Never too late for contrition. Cheers Paradox! - Dan"

  • "Thanks, it's nice to know some still appreciate this kind of “old school” poetry. Poe set the standard with The Raven and I certainly hope some of my poems come close to that level of structural perfection and phonetic beauty."
