Operation Death

By Paradoxology

~ Operation Death ~

Then you turn your wife to wormwood through the gauntlet of your lies
’Cause you know she won’t discern the spinning circles in your eyes
Then you’re ready to be king
Or a soldier on a string

Go to war, escape the whore
Call it brotherhood, this madness
Kill for fun, deny the sadness
When a murder for the madman is the price of your reward
For a moment clasp a royal badge of honor forged in hell
’Til the tolling of the homebound bell
Dust or ashes? Time will tell...

Time for one more dirty joke as you lay hopeless on your dying bed
Clutch a cross and say you’re sorry, one last lie to hide the rest

Yep, ours is not to reason why... Liking the way you elected here to serve country instead of wife, if I understand the thrust of it. Never an easy way out. Never too late for contrition. Cheers Paradox! - Dan

It's actually about electing to serve self in the name of country or whatever the cause. All respect to soldiers who enlist for unselfish reasons, however misguided they may be. And I do believe there can be deathbed confessions (when a person has long suffered for their sins/mistakes and nobody knew until the end), but NEVER deathbed conversions, which have nothing to do with repentance and everything to do with basic Survivalism.
