Once and Future

~ Once and Future ~

     Part 1: Inevitability

I will meet you last night in a dark quiet dream
Where faith is the song in a dead silent scene
And parables unveil a radiant future
But then you’ll see below the golden hallways to my heart
The sewer full of deadly snakes and searing fallen stars
In endless waves of timeless torture
Going backward, going forward…

I will hold you last night in a dead silent scene
Where hope carves a rose on a cold frozen stream
And thorns release our blood to blend its colors
But then you’ll see behind the silver mirrors in my mind
The harem filled with sainted whores pretending to be mine
With endless lies in timeless corners
Going backwards, going forwards…

You will leave me last night on a cold frozen stream
Where love fades away like a dark quiet dream
And demons mask the torture master’s sorrow
But then you’ll see inside the bloodshot windows of your soul
The church accursed with cries of death which cries of birth foretold
In endless signs of timeless closure
Going backward, coming forward…

My death will be the end
Until we meet again

     Part 2: Absolute Emotion

I’ll never trust you more than what I do today
I still remember nothing lost but what is gone when I awake
It’s never strong enough to understand for longer than a single breath
I never knew you
I never tried
But every morning I relive the strange dividing time between your life and death

Your only beauty shown in blinded eyes that are the same
My heart the dark and starry dwelling place from where your spirit came
When we were torn in two your womb became the palace of my one recurring dream
Where you have held me
Where I have died
Where I await your new unaging hands to take me to the long-lost tree of life

     Part 3: Grave to Cradle

Alone she walks the solaced road that leads into his sorrow
Along the line where space and time unite to shape tomorrow
A dagger in her hand reflects the movie screen behind her
That’s trapped in a relentless loop of tragedy and murder
The endless shame of one unnamed and hated by his mother
The spinning madness, love and pain destroying one another

In time the weeds and falling leaves disguise the other way
Inside this forest labyrinth where night corrodes the day
Where twice she cut his vocal cords to blind his hungry cries
While blood poured out in waves of pain, for fourteen years denied
But in a cold and secret place remained the traitor's knife
Its blade a jagged poisoned edge that bled away his life

The winter wind keeps whispering his words of love surreal
As liquid melts the snow below a wound that cannot heal
A fountain gushing red entwined with rivers of her tears
Her dagger drawing death from life and fantasies from fears
Through earthen gates this flood of blood and water flows together
To reach a hidden treasure, to unbury it forever

A dozen rows of newborn roses nevermore to fade
Arranged to praise the golden ratio, grown around his grave
Where rainbows veil their naked bodies tenderly embraced
The pyramid of endless youth, the garden there replaced
Where day and night she feeds him from her bosom's tree of life
Its dormant seed awakened by her blood of sacrifice

Its fruit in warm abundance poured with love into his kiss
His song of songs her sacred form emerging from his lips
Her nipples laid across his tongue, he moves his mouth so gently
To sing this silent song of grace as Breastmilk fills his belly
The song that once brought death and war restored to peace and glory
The song of every man and woman's never-ending story

His death came to an end
The night the song began
