Past Time ( Once called Untitled)

By Aurora_Light

This poem is so named at the advise of those who've read it.

I met a guy the other day,
At a dance to more precisely say.
He seemed so handsome and so nice.
He treated me like a person,
Someone equal to him.
Not the underclassman that I am.
And then to my delight,
He asked me to dance at the end of the night.
If it was out of pity I do not know,
Nor do I wish to know.
As we danced around the room,
We talked of things like life and school.
Then at the end I kissed his check,
He was quiet, he didn't say a word.
And then he was gone,
Without a glance back my way.
Now I wonder how I could have been such a fool,
To think I could ever be more than a way to pass by the time.

I like the poem but men are not the only ones who do that. Not all men are a like either. I for one would never have led you or anyone else on. It is a great poem and i would have to agree with past time for a title.
