when it's been a while
i think i come off a little strong.

i speak more intensely
my eye contact is piercing and bores through
and every word reeks of musk and want.

i am a creature of desire and desiring-
i know what i want, and how to get it
and i will.
come close, and you will find
my lips taste of cloves and other men
i've devoured... i tend to do that.

i don't mean to- i just get a bit
excited when i'm almost touching
someone i want to wrestle into bed
and take for mine.

every inch of skin feels like i'm on ecstasy
i expand and swallow small intimacies
as if they were sample packets.

dating is impossible when i feel like this
i cannot sit still long enough to listen
and i don't pay attention to the things that matter-
just read the signs to guess what kind of lover
you'll end up being.

dinner feels like just a formality
to getting home and fucking
so i can decide if i really like you.
