Does the night come out to play
By Circe Avalon
A poem for a child,or just a professional dreamer
Does the night come out to play
Will she set the stars free
And will the graceful dancers
bring upon the melody?
Has the nightingale put her voice to rest
For the lovers under the moon?
Have these guilty in devours
Made their heart all the more swoon?
White and glorious is the moon
in her plaster majesty
Like a sculpture in the room
Galatea, stone yet lovely
Can the moaning water waltz
with the sparkle of the dawn
And can you sleep the whole night threw
If I leave a light on?
With the pixies out to play
It may not be wise
For your dreams to venture out
unsupervised
*if you are not familiar with Greek mythology, Galatea is a statue brought
to life by Aphrodite, For the Artist that fell in love with her.

I like this. We can never have enough of night-time antics now, can we? Same goes for Greek mythology. Nice work.
