Understatement

By Circe Avalon

Teeth over heavens white expanse
The wolf of our frustration
Will this purgatory of selfish greed
Chase away our great manifestations

Can the butterfly find her way without her wings
And do the roaming rivers of hounds seek out
The bones of our civil wars?
And chomping on the marrow of yesterday swollen morals
Ethic are for the birds?
And do the birds know what they are doing?

The crushed velvet idealogoy can isolate the masses
And the humor of bureaucracy can stupifiy the ignorant classes
The stain finish of our church have finally been rendered
And Gods acclaim has slowly burdened the cushioned hypocrisy

The rain is now the weather vane for Armageddon
Today is the last day to show the world
that unrelenting passion
Put food in our mouths and force feed
until we choke on our words
as they come spilling out in sentences

And at this mounting feeling that everything must come to an abrupt chaotic close
