A Stranger Will Know My Name

By Stranger

She wakes to the sound of a train, approaching
A stranger will know my name, she thinks
And slowly begins

The sound of the train now in the walls of her room, her skin
A stranger knows my name, she imagines
Losing herself, recklessly, loudly

The sound of the train fading into silence, leaving her body
A stranger knew my name, she remembers
Returning to sleep, once again, more deeply

Much more deeply

Excellent piece! I love little slices of life captured and hinting at more. Ciao, T/S Scholar

Nice. I enjoyed this because of its word flow and expression. :)

Perhaps I'm way off, but this felt like a late night fever dream, a little self love, and then euphoric exhaustion. Even if I'm wrong, I enjoyed this.

I like this. Makes you wonder if she is dreaming the whole time, or there really was a train in the distance and she absorbed it into her dream. Nice!
